How long have you had it for? I think I'd throw - sounds a bit dodge and it's for use around the eyes - sensitive.

You should really discard things like eyeliner, mascara and foundations after three months, to avoid skin and eye infections.

all make-up, lotions and potions should have a little jar symbol on them with a "use before" indicator. my currant mascara says 6m, so that's 6 months.

the symbol may be very very small!
