Eye lashes falling out
Has anyone had any problems with their eyelashes falling out, not all of them, just noticable gaps. This has been happening to me on and off since I was a teenager and it's starting to really get to me. I don't use mascara or eye lash curlers very much so I don't think it's down to that, someone said it could be stress, any suggestions on how to stop it would be great, thanks.

Its quite normal- i have it myself.
Having said that, if there are big noticable gaps, its not so normal. Alopecia can make lashes fall out, but i thin its rare to only affect lashes and not your head hair. Your doctor could advise.
You could try gently massaging your eye lids, as massage promotes blood circulation, which can stimulate thicker hair growth.

my eyelashes were not particularly good/healthy!! As mentioned already someone suggested I massage them a bit then others started suggesting fancy things to be put on like a clear mascara. then someone suggested gently rubbing on a bit of vaseline regularly. Just a fine amount say at bed time and I have to say it has worked wonders for the condition and stimulated some growth.
hi blue,
a bit late i know, but ive only just seen your post .
i had the same problem a year or two ago myself,
mine got very sparse and i even lost all my lower
lashes.
someone on here suggested i try Talika Lipocils.
it comes in a mascara type barrel and wand, its a
clear conditioning gel and is supposed to promote eyelash growth.
you massage it onto the roots of your lashes twice a
day.
i got some and used it, and whether it was just coincidence or whether it was the gel, but my lashes started to grow back, i even have lower lashes
again!
a 10ml tube costs around 20, quite pricey i know,
but it lasts for yonks, mine last about a year.
the last one i bought was from a beauty shop in
mayfair in london, from their online website,
its called martyn maxey.
if you join their site you get discount off their products,
i got mine for about 18 incl p&p.
have a look and have a read about it and see what you think.
i personally would recommend it as it seemed to
get my lashes back to looking nice again,
long and fairly thick, just how they used to be.
they feel stronger too and dont fall out now like they
used to either.
i still use it even now, but only once a day, at night,
after ive cleansed my face.
let us know how you get on if you decide to try it.
kind regards :o)
