Whats the best masacara you have ever used?
Am after a really great mascara for my holidays as I only wear mascara and lip gloss on hols.
I don't mind paying a bit extra for a really good one.
Can anyone recommend one please?

I have tried every other brand, but Lancome are the best. They always make it into the InStyle hall of fame too. Tho I never really need to use the stuff, I like to have one to use in order to produce a dramatic effect if I'm going somewhere special.
Try Hypnose, either in Black or Brown. You won't be disappointed.

I tried a Yves Saint Laurent one and was not impressed at all. The one that I've liked the best so far is a Boots No7 volumising one. My friend has recommended a givenchy (sp?) one that has a little ball type brush thingy so I was thinking of giving that a go. Probably the next time I buy one I'm just going to go to the department stall and have the orange ladies try a few different types on me and see what works.
I think I've finally found the best mascara. See below. Not sure why the address is so long!

Have to agree with NoMercy, Lancome is the best I've ever come across and I've tried many. I use the Amplicils one. Go to this page on the Lancome website...

Click on 'start the diagnosis' and answer the questions. It'll tell you which of their mascaras is best for you.
Chazza is also right. Mascaras aren't at their best when they're first opened. I don't find I get great coverage at first. Give any new one you try a few goes before you make up your mind whether it's right for you.

Used to love YSL false lash effect but now find it flaky and dries out in the tube too quick. Have gone back to my old faithful L'Oreal double extensions. Have to use white coat and then black but gives long, black, dramatic lashes. If you dont fancy the two wand faff, L'Oreal voluminous is good too. I've tried them all and always go back to these two. Don't find the expensive brands to be any better. Have you looked at the website 'Makeupalley'? This is a fab website for make-up addicts like me and rates tons of make-up. I always have a look before I invest in a new product. It must have saved me a small fortune!
