Removing unsightly moles and beauty marks?

I was wondering if you can have unsightly moles/beauty marks/etc removed by your GP, and if it costs?
I've had a beauty mark in between my eyebrows and slightly to the left for my whole life, but I hate it as everyone says it looks like a big spot. I know you cannot remove them yourself, but I'm not entirely sure if you have to go to a specialist to remove it or just an average GP.
Anyone who knows would be a great help, and if you also know more such as if it costs and how much then that would also be wonderful :)

You need to see a dermatologist - your GP could recommend one, or else try here, private treatment (quicker):

It depends on your GP. I had an ugly mole on my torso and my GP was able to remove it for me in his surgery under the NHS

Go and see your GP and find out for sure either way
ive had loads of moles removed by my gp on the nhs just because I hated them.. Tell your gp how much you hate it and he should do it on the nhs. Some of mine were frozen off, the local anaesthetic in my face really really hurt (more than my tattoos), and for about a week your left with a scab that looks like a cigarette burn or huge spot. One of mine had to be done by a plastic surgeon (again on the nhs and under local), he had to cut that out and stitch it back together, but its very neat and u wouldnt notice. All have left small white scars, the cut out one is least noticable. I look so so much better without them :-)
your GP is your first option, he or she will take it from there!
