For me, it is anti-ageing moisturiser and eye cream.

eye-liner.. can't leave the house without it!

I have to say, expensive make-up seems like a waste to me. or are you saying these makes are really superior?
Question Author
I do believe the cheapest is always the dearest, Sara. I definitely recommend investing in a good brand.
NoM - lime source shower gel smells gorgeus
Some seem to be, some are no different at all.
I don't buy for the name or brand - just experience of trying cheap, expensive and average over the years.

I don't buy exfoliators any more. I blitz sugar and linseeds in the grinder and mix with lemon juice and olive oil. It makes a great facial scrub, and really gives the skin a lovely glow.
I'mm really enjoying the imperial leather foam burst shower gels at the moment!
I don't doubt that some are better quality (you get what you pay for, and all that) but I haven't found a brand that I couldn't do without.

I like Olay face creams though, and I think facial scrubs are fab.
I appreciate where you're coming from NoM but as I'm 61 I have to be careful with exfoliators as the older you get the more delicate your skin is......I use Clinique because it does the job but is not too rough for my skin...

Wow Dixie - no armpit fluff, you are so lucky.
shame about the beard...........
Question Author
Actually, the exfoliator I make is very gentle, Craft. However, there are some very good biological ones on the market.

Dixie - I always wax, and have found over the years that I have less and less regrowth. However, last time I waxed, I applied it when it was too hot. Ouch....
Wow dixie you are so lucky!
Eyeliner and mascara. My eyes are my best feature and I like to make the most of them :-)

You can take my nan with you, Dixie. She would put any man to shame...
I epilate. granted, the first few times I cried and there was blood, but now it's great ;o)
The wiry chin hairs are OK as you get older - they go grey and you can't see them. And as you get older your partner gets older too and eyes aren't so sharp and you can't see each others imperfections too well. Bit prickly though!!! ;o)

One item of makeup I can't stand and have never worn is foundation. A bit of concealer here and there if necessary, but foundation, yuk!!

I used to wear much more make up, but am afraid when you get to my age mascara and nice eyebrows seem to look much better than all the other gubbins!

Robinia uses Max Factor Pan Stick and Creme Puff!! Some of you might know what I am talking about!! :o)
haha, that's right Lottie, and I top it up 3 times a day with a good splodge of rouge on top, it fills in all the cracks :o)
I can still recall the smell of Creme Puff :o/
