It always amazes me how tried and tested, homemade beauty preparations can oftentimes be far more effective than expensive, shop-bought products. I have read some fab tips on this section of Ab recently, from banishing blackheads with model aeroplane glue, to putting baking soda on your toothbrush for enamel stain removal.
So, do you have a weird and wacky, money-saving, tried and tested beauty tip that you would like to share?
I make my own exfoliator by grinding sugar (or salt) and linseeds, and mixing with olive oil and a dash of lemon juice. It leaves my skin silky soft, and causes no adverse reaction on my sensitive skin.
I know one that doesnt work can I put that? My nan gave me some face powder once that was really dark, I think she'd wone it at bingo, So I crumbled it up in a pot added some talcum powder to make it match my skin tone. Put it on my face to go out that day and over time the talcum powder dropped off and I looked like an ooompa lumpa lol

Sachs - that's interesting to know. Someone suggested to me that if I feel a pimple coming, to cut a garlic clove in half and rub it on the emerging pimple. Take it from me - it really works !!
