12 Answers
hi
has anyone used no7's highlighter/illuminator - £10.50?
ive heard its good and im tempted to try it as id like to have that 'healthy' look.
how/where do you apply it? under your foundation and powder, or over?
any comments, hints or tips would be most appreciated.
thanks :o)

hi sachs,
thank you,
i already read those reviews, and it does sound good, i just wanted to know if anyone on here has tried it and if so, what did they think and how do they apply it for best effect.
hi poodi, if you try it, let us know how you get on.
the sales assistant in our local boots shop swears by it, shes the one that introduced me to it.
thanks both for posting ;o)

i have used it and still have it, its brilliant for a fresh glow, and you can apply your normal makeup over it. you can rub a little in the cheek bones, eyelids, just below the eyebrow, or if on a night out you can use it on the nose(the top of the nose)just to give a slimming look,my nose is a little chubby and it works for me, i even use a bit on my arms when i go out. be careful not to overdo it though, i.e if you put it on your eyelids then dont put it on your nose and cheeks, i just do my cheekbones, and sometime i put it on just below the eybrow (eyebrow bone), either use it with the brush on the tube/bottle or put a bit on the back of your hand and dab it/rub it on a bit at a time, hope this helps.x
you can apply it under you foundation or over, but make sure its blended into your skin properly, if you use mineral makeup careful it doesnt flake when you apply over it, i find it works better with liquid foundation is use mac. also its nice to apply it on the eyebrow bone and apply eyeliner on the top lid and bottom, its a nice look. ont dab powder over it as theres no point aplying it then as you want a healthy soft creamy look not matte look.
hi suzi thanks for such a great and helpful reply.
im tempted to def get some now!
i use liquid foundation, a dusting of transluscant powder and then a dap of bronzing powder to finish, so, is it ok to still apply my make up like i usually do and then afterwards just apply the no7 to the areas you suggested?
and lastly but not leastly, what shade highlighter would you reccommend i get? i know you cant see me lol, but my overall finished makeup is a darker look rather than a pale look.
thanks for replying and huge thanks for your helpful tips too - any more, please feel free, the more the better! xx

HI
this depends on the skin tone, are you tanned skinned or light/pale skinned? i would go for the peach tone for darker skins and the pinky one for lighter skin, yep apply your makeup as normal and add it to the areas you want it on, over your makeup. it will highlight the area you want to stand out, i love using it on my cheek bones after my makeup is applied.....it looks great - and again dont overdo it it can feel heavy on your face if you put too much on......im glad you found all this helpful any more makeup ? please feel free to ask me and i will try to be of help.

hi poodi, i was planning on getting some tomorrow!
so, have you tried it yet, and if so what do you think?
is there no way you can unscrew the brush bit and dab some on your finger?
yeah ive seen that bag of goodies you get when you spend £22 or more, it looks good!
i was going to get me and my mum one of those highlighters, and both will come to £21 (£10.50x2) .. tut .. one pound short of getting a goodie bag! grrrrrr lol
thanks again linzie, most helpful.
i was looking into that mac foundation ive heard quite a bit about, was hoping to get some testers to try from debenhams, but our nearest mac counter is miles away!
have you heard of/tried their highlighter called strobe?
