What is the best way

to sharpen a cosmetic pencil ?
If I use a pencil type sharpner, or a razer blade my lip pencil and eyeliner pencil just break up, and I am eventually left with no pencil at all.

Some say put in freezer and then try sharpening it

Put it in the freezer before doing it and use a sharpener designed for these pencils. (if you arent already)

Hi cab,
wrap it up in tinfoil and stick it in the fridge overnight, use a pencil sharpener on it the day after! You can buy double pencil sharpeners, it may just be the sharpener you have is too big for the pencil tip? x

Go to Boots if you can and buy one by Prestige - it isn't expensive, and is one that you twist so you don't have to sharpen it. Make sure you get the right one as they do make pencils as well. Brilliant. I think Clinique makes one, but costs more.

Just looked at mine, its called Prestige Waterproof Automatic, its very soft and smudgy. Try it !

It works , put them in freezer overnight and hey presto, sharpen perfectly.

I bought myself a proper sharpener from Lancome counter. Never had a problem after, though it meant having to pay probably quite a lot for a sharpener, i think its worth it. As someone who worked as a Beauty Consultant, also it has a lot to do with the quality of the pencil you are buying. I buy Lancome and they last ages and sharpen well. Well worth the £12 or so I pay for them. They last well over a year and I use it every day.
