massage Bio Amla hair oil in her hair at night and wash it out in the morning, do this every weekend, and her hair will be so shiny and healthy looking, its unbelievable and it will grow nicely too. U can get this from anywhere..try Asian shops and warmed Yasmin oil works well too

Not a home remedy, but Tresemme do a very good shampoo which takes any products out of your hair, it is called Deep Cleansing Shampoo and is for all hair types. It really does 'clean' the hair. It was about £4.50 for a large bottle. Got it in Tesco's.

I read somewhere that if you mix bicarbonate of soda with your regular shampoo this removes build up.I tried it and it did seem softer.Cheap an cheerful

What you put inside of you projects on the outside. How is her diet? Does she eat a balanced diet? Is the dieting or starving herself of the necessary nutrients which are necessary for the growth of thick, lustrous, shiny hair?

If she has over styled it with heat....nothing will repair it. Except a hair cut that is.

I can vouch for that,when I was very ill my hair went all thin and started to fall out,despite deep conditioners/oil etc
