hmmm... my panda eyes are getting me down. I think I get enough sleep (7ish hours, although a bit restless), but I feel tired in the mornings and I am developing dark circles under my eyes.

what's the answer? do any lotions and potions really work? more sleep? or am I just stuck with them? I don't wear much make-up and really can't be bothered with cover-up stuff.

thanks Martine (hey, you have a real name, lol!), I have noisy neighbours and even when they don't wake me, on some subconscious level I think I am waiting for it!

the mattress is fine, I do get a bit hot and cold though so will fiddle with the window, too :o)

they do say lotions and potions don't really help but as Martine has said it can be a sign of dehydration so drink plenty water. What about some little ear plugs to block out neighbours noise?

I really don't wear much make up - but always use cover up!

thanks Joannie, I've been making an effort with the water, will be having an early(ish) night and will have the window open.

hey, I'm trying :o)
Sara... lymphatic drainage massage on your face can do wonders. Forget lotions and potions, they're a load of crud. Lymph drainage will actually eliminate toxins...

One of my friends swears by that garnier roll on ball thingy and three swear by a balm from Clarins... Personally I didn't notice much difference but I only used either once and dark circles are generally not one of my facial issues (I have many more to worry about!)... I can try and find out what the clarins one is called if you like?
Is it Clarins Beauty Flash? Daft name but it works.
Question Author
thanks China. I've seen the rollerball thingy but a few on here said it wasn't so good. if you can find out the Clarins cream that would be fab, thanks.

NoM, is that something I can do myself?
What boxtops just said sounds familar actually but I've just texted my friend to be sure so hopefully will have an answer for you in a bit.
Question Author
thank you ladies, good team work!
boxtops was right on the money! Got a text back saying 'flash balm'.

The three I know who use it age from 26 up to fifties and they all love it so hopefully it does what it says on the tin.
Question Author
thanks China, you're a star. I'll def look out for it :o)
My friend swears by flash balm too, I've never tried it. I did use caudalie eye cream for a while - it's made from grapes and supposedly is full of anti oxidants, and I did think my eyes looked a good bit better while using it.

hi Karen :o)

I looked for the Flash Balm on Ebay and everyone is selling samples.. I'm going to drop in to all dept stores/Boots to see if I can bag a freebie!

hi Martine :o)

I've just been into Boots and the Clarins woman said their eye gel would be better, but they have no samples of anything. she took my number and said she'd call me when they get some in stock. it's a bit pricey!
I love the flash balm though use it to make my skin all lovely on special nights out, too ruddy expensive to use more often.

I'm lucky as I managed to get some seriously discounted at a Clarins Beauty event and it does last ages if you use it sparingly.

Can't say I've noticed a big effect on my eyes though as use it for skin generally.

I've got one of those roller ball things and it's lovely and cooling but, again, no bit effect on dark circles, more puffiness.

You could try a liquid concealer pen with that light diffusing stuff in it, dab on a few little dots under your eye then gently pat it into the skin for a better effect and lightly dab over some pressed powder to seal.
I got some under eye concealer from The Body Shop. It's liquid with a little brush. It's great. If you go into the store they will match it up with your skin tone.
