Right ladies
The sun is out the sky is blue and it may very well hot up a bit a bit soon which means less slap. .This winter has taken it's toll on my skin and in spite of exfoliating ,cleansing and whatnot it looks dingy to me .
I don't expect miracles at my age but just need something to brighten my skin a bit and make it look a bit fresher .Do any of you use face packs on a regular basis and if so what can you recommend .

I have a steam cleaner Woofy and it is excellent (K'archer). The only problem I have is that it's an effort to get it out and set it up, but it really does clean properly. The first thing it will do is get the build up of chemical cleaners off the floor and it is amazing what the floor ends up looking like after the first clean with a steamer. It is also excellent at cleaning sinks and loos and getting rid of stuff round taps and under the rim of the loo. Excellent too on tiles. Wouldn't be without it!!

I can see your Christmas cat on your profile Neti!!
I think we're sorted woofy thanks, I'll be mailing you all later.

Can't believe the time, where did the morning go?! Mind you I was up later than usual, I was catching up on lost sleep from Saturday night's gales.
I have a Polti and like lottie it's too much hassle to get it out, have had it for 11 yrs, and I am terrified of it. Good for mattresses etc but when I clean loos etc I am in such a hurry that the hand with the cloth gets in the way of the steam and it hurts
for under the rim of the loo I used elbow grease and my hand, I do it nearly every day cos I hate dirty loos.
I used to do that too Neti, and still do, but not every day. I do squirt bleach up under the rim every day though. However, what came down from the places I couldn't reach had to been seen to be believed!! Steamers reach places that humans can't.

I must say I do pride myself that my loo that is 30 years old has no lime stains or any other stains and still looks pristine. I too hate grubby loos.
My steamer doesn't need a hand with a cloth neti. It has dear little attachments that mean your hands go nowhere near the steam. Also my steamer doesn't do fabric, just hard surfaces.
I have posted this on your steam cleaner thread Woofy. More than you want to pay, but well worth the investment.

Out of the corner of my eye I can see the ironing board I set up an hour ago...if I ignore it do you think it'll go away, along with the pile of clothes?
Mine is permanently up in a spare bedroom Robi, which means I don't even have to see it ever if I don't want to (except if someone stays). This means less stabs of conscience. I actually did not ironing yesterday evening - not a lot, but better than nothing.
My steamer also has lots of attachments, but I like to wipe athe surfaces immediately (or in my case, at the same time) ie polish the taps and mirrors. I stick my head in the loo upside down so I can see under the rim, and by jove how does that dirt get there? Most of it here is from the flushing water, as it's not the purest! Often I'll put bleach or hydrocholric acis in the loo tank so that it gets into all the rim when flushing, Mr N gets furious cos (like yours) it has to go in a cess pit!!
I have actually tapered the jeans I bought in England) got rid of the jodhpur thigh bits, and of course bl**dy machine kept knotting underneath, so had to sort the tension, and all done, have made a meat and pot pie and prepared the cabbage. Booked flight for England (Stansted) in April (one way so far; as I want to come back from Gatwick).Changed our bedsheets and did anopther load, all dangling limply under the patio, but al least clean. Have ironing to do but that can be done tomorrow.
Neti, it would be physically impossible for me to stick my head in the loo and then turn it to look inside the rim, LOL. You must be a contortionist!!!!!
I would have to stand on my head with it in the water at the bottom of the loo and then spin around on my head to see all the way round the rim. My mind is boggling here!! LOL
Yes Neti, I get reminded about the bleach and the cess pit, but I still do it!!
I'd just disappear round the bloomin U bend....

Ironin's done, there wasn't as much as it looked...Shall we shuttup about domestic stuff, we sound like a load of old charwomen...
Actually I think the toilets here (well mine is anyway) are taller than yours. Oh and I often drain the s bend so can scrub it, and that's not a joke!
and I empty the low level flush tank and scrub that!
I love cleaning....
Oh dear Neti!! I think you need help ;o)

I don't love cleaning - in fact I hate cleaning.....................................
.......................
but I love pottering in the garden!!

Right, I will shut up about domestic stuff now Robi - I guess I am just not into domesticity (except for cooking)

Am off to the osteopath shortly.
