Firstly.. hope thats the right spelling! lol... Can anyone tell me exactly what tendonitous is?...A work friend has it.. she's in agony!... can she do anything to help with the pain..inflamation etc.. and how should she treat it? should she stay off her feet etc?Her Doc was a bit vague about what she should do!!.. T everso for any help with this one! Mrs Crisper x

Tendonitis is an inflammation of the tendons which may be anywhere....wrist, shoulder, ankle ect and the treatment depends upon the site of the tendonitis.

A generalisation is to rest the area involved and Ibubrofen 400mgms three times a day would seem to be a good starting point.

If it does not improve, then please state the area involved as there are other treatments in resistant cases.

Hi Sqad.. as always I didn't want to bother you directly.. thanks for your reply... She has the tendonitous in her ankle.. very painful.. we are hairdressers.. so standing all day.. but I've told her to stay at home tomorrow and try and rest it!.. Any other advice you can give would be greatfully recieved.. Hope you have a great weekend ..:)))) xx
crisper...at a guess it is at the back of the ankle..... Achilles tendonitis.
