why do my feet always swell when the weather warms up? it's really annoying when I need to wear nice sandals.
My right foot is worse than the left and it is really uncomfortable. I've been to the doctors and he says it's because I'm overweight but other people I know who are the same, don't have the same problem.
Is there anything i can do to help the problem as I'm going to Turkey in August where I am a bridesmaid and I'm worried that it's going to be a problem.
I think it`s because the veins swell in the heat so the blood can`t get back up the legs so easily. I find my feet swell in hot climates when I`m walking around a lot. I never by shoes after a lot of walking for that reason. Obviously putting your feet up would help but I find putting my ankles under a cold running bath tap for a few minutes works.
Thank you 237SJ. I do put them up as often as possible.
If I soaked them in ice water before going to the wedding, do you think that would help? or put off the swelling for a while at least.
Mine do this too, important to keep the circulation going, try to avoid standing for too long. I hope you have flat shoes for the wedding, better than heels for being able to wiggle your toes - if not, take the formal shoes off as soon as you can.
I think you have to do it after the event, not before I`m afraid. If I was at a wedding and couldn`t get away I would probably try to get some ice inside a cloth to put on it. There should be plenty of ice around in all those champagne buckets!
I haven't bought the shoes yet boxy as my friend is coming home soon to go shopping. She lives over in Turkey now.so I'm hoping that I'm allowed flats.
I find it really uncomfortable when they swell :-(
Is it to do with weight though? I'm sure mine were the same when I was not so heavy, but it's difficult to argue that with GP when he's telling me to lose weight!
it's funny you should say that tambo because I've had dizziness as well but GP has put it done to possible menopause. would it be dangerous for me to try a daily aspirin?
