Leg Cramps in the Morning
44 Answers
Once or twice a week I will get cramp when I stretch while still half asleep. Sometimes I can stop it by relaxing-but too often it is excruciating.
Some research has told me it could be due to several things-dehydration,or lack of Potassium/Magnesium/Sodium.
I admit I am not great at getting enough water in me,but I am often just not thirsty.
What should I do in order to lessen these attacks?

I suffered excruciating cramps in my legs each night a couple of years ago and started drinking a small glass of tonic water before going to bed. It worked almost instantly. After a few weeks I just drank it once or twice a week. I've been fine ever since. It was recommended to me by the pharmacist in Boots.
