Do any of you use the stairclimber at the gym?

The other day we went to see a friend in a block of flats and the lifts were out and we had to climb something like 12 floors and i was huffing, puffing and sweating after the fifth! Luckily it was working by the time we came out otherwise i may've had to stay the night as i didn't want to see those stairs again even downwards.
I think I just don't get on with the stair climber particularly, and a recent gym induction for my new place the instructor didn't seem overlly enthralled with them either. I tend to do ten minutes at levelseven on cross trainer and then straight to ten minutes at level six on the bike for my cardiovascular. I also do my cardio after the weights. And now because my gym is closer to where I live I can nip and do a quick swim to cool down afterwards. I think the idea of doing half an hour on any particular machine like I see some people do just seems mind numblingly boring.
