Hi nudgescuffler.....Hope your Dental appointment went well.... It was about 12.45 when I arrived back home from having been to the Dentist. ...Bottom half of a back tooth had broken off......He has put in a temporary filling and is now talking about a permanent filling with a crown....Silly me I didn't ask what it's going to cost because although Viv and I are on DenPlan it doesn't cover what is classified as 'Cosmetic Dentistry'.

I think I've said a mouthful.:-)

I wouldn't have thought a crown on a back tooth was cosmetic, though there may well be other reasons why plans don't pay for it. I thought cosmetic was just stuff you could see (whitening, straightening etc)?

Jno...DenPlan provides for inspections, de-scaling, extractions and fillings, but bridges, crowns, dentures etc are outside of it's cover.

I just grit my teeth and then pay-up.
