Preparing for the RAF

I have been reading about how to prepare for the RAF on the running side of it. They say you should be doing 15 Minute runs every other day of the week.

What do they mean by run? My running speed is very fast and I feel it makes me burn out fast. Could I be running at the wrong speed?

running: it's like walking but faster.
I didn't know there was a "running side" of the raf!

I am on about the PGAC. They give you a fitness programme to follow. And one of the elements is a 15 minute run.
I would say you are running too fast. Like you were advised, do a run every other day that lasts for 15 minutes (NOT run as fast as you can for 15 minutes). It's to get your endurance up. Gradually, you should be able to run further and further.
You don't have to be front-line fit to pass, they'll get you to that stage when you get in.
I was in the RAF for quite a while : )
I remember my fitness (and running) test.
I would pass it today 30-odd years later (and I smoke rollies .. like many already in the RAF do)

I think you're worrying too much. Get in there .. you'll not enjoy the first year .. the rest is great.
