Sqad just some info if you can please. My Daughter had the flu, which in turn has turned into a nasty Sinus Infection. Been on antibiotics for 5days, had a blood test and 2 have come back, still waiting for the other 2. Been so bad, that at first I thought she had Glandular Fever, this had been ruled out. She has been having Dizzy spells since early this year, so now I am wondering if it could have been her sinus all along? had a sinus scan early this year and that turned out to be ok, could it have somehow been missed? and this has been building up all along. I never knew that Sinutitis could really make someone so ill. Thank you

I`m not Sqad and I`m not an expert but it is possible to suffer dizziness from sinusitis. I think the sinus problem your daughter has is a secondary infection from the flu though. I have had my sinuses x-rayed and I could clearly see the problem on the x-ray. I think if your daughter had a problem it would have been picked up and not missed. My guess would be that the dizziness that she has had from the beginning of the year is caused by something else. The only link that I could imagine regarding the dizziness would be congestion in the ears which could involve the sinuses.
It is extremely unlikely that your daughter's dizziness has anything to do with her sinuses as it has been going on for months during which time an X-Ray of her sinuses was reported as normal.
Dizziness is not a common symptom of chronic sinusitis although it may well be present in acute sinusitis during the febrile stage.

The dizziness needs to be investigated on it's own accord and will almost certainly not be of a sinister or life threatening origin and one needs to know more about this "dizziness" before one can offer a reasonable diagnosis.

I would be interested to know the result of the final blood test.
