Further to my earlier string 'knee knackered' I saw the consultant a few weeks ago and had an MRI scan. He did tell me what the condition was called but I can't for the life of me remember it. In layman's terms he said there was a membrane in the leg that held all the muscles in place and mine was inflamed on the left side of my left knee, and I had a steroid injection in an attempt to settle it down. Anyone any idea what this condition is called? The consultant is a bugger to get hold of on the phone now he has my 130 notes in his bank.

Thanks Mamy. Intersting link too. Still not 100% convinced, the steroid injection hasn't made much difference. May go and get a second opinion. I'm too young (38) to be this crippled!
