Do you have a dental access place - like an out-of-hours doctors?
Have your tried an emergency dentist? Mine had an out of hours emergency number. I know exactly how you feel, been there, had it taken out - you should have seen the size of it!! My sympathies.
There will be an emergency dentist in your area. Google it, but it'll probably cost you. I had to go to one (private) on a Sunday once - Ouch!
Sounds as though you may have an abscess. Do you have access to any antibiotics?
All i can think of is heat? You can take ibuprofen ontop of cocodamol aswell fred!?

Hotwater bottle? Warm Bath upto the neck?

You have my sympathy- i was plastering bonjela on xx
Rub sensodyne toothpaste on it and don't rinse, keep rubbing it on, tip from my brilliant dentist

Hi, sherrardk you know I do'nt know.I have access to a walk in centre for emergencies, but I am not sure they would do very much for very crawling the walls dental pain, or would they?
Our local A & E deals with emergency cases.
A & E should be able to tell you where to find emergency dental treatment,

Thanks everyone for your answers I am not very fast on the keyboard especially with this pain.I have no Idea about out of hours dentists.
If it is really bad you can't wait all weekend to get it sorted out, there must be something in your area - worth finding out (I know how bad the pain is, I had four impacted wisdom teeth, taken out in hospital and I was I for three days).
Ibuprofen

I get "Ibuprofeno" from Spain.

They are 600mg per tablet. Spanish pharmacists tell you to take three, so 1,800mg.

So (ignoring the ludicrously over cautious dosing recommended in the UK) ... try 1,800mg of whatever ibuprofen you might have around (eg 9 Nurofen??).

It's not a long term plan, but it will take the pain away tonight!
Ring 0845 46 47 - NHS Direct. They might help you.

Thanks joggerjayne but do'es Ibuprofen have asprin in it,I cannot take asprin. The co.codamol is good for so long, what a relief when pain subsides, but comes back quite quickly, thought about abcess, looked and could not see anything untoward, very red, side of mouth all bitten to bits, lumps, bumps and all that.
Question Author
Thanks ladybirder will try that number.
Recent research claims that mixing painkillers (e.g. half dose paracetamol +half dose ibuprofen) works better than a full dose of either. I had mine out Wednesday after using mixed doses and it was sheer bliss when he bludger went! Real toothache needs extraction or dynamite IMO. Good luck with finding emergency treatment. They can get one to A and E at our hospital.
Not sure, sorry.

Let us know how you get on Fred and best wishes from one Border T man to another.
