I Disagree!

On another thread a comment was made that there is a lack of "characters" on AB at the moment. I totally disagree with this. There are some on here that infuriate me to smithereens, some that have me crying with laughter and some that are simply genuinely nice people.
(BTW I am not having a go at the person who made the comment, just expressing my humble opinion)

There have always been plenty of individuals with a well-defined sense of personal style and character which is evidenced in their questions and replies, as well as their debating skills - and i would class your good self as being in that esteemed company.

i agree with you disagreeing, there are some characters on here, some who were funny but got banned, some who give good advice and some who are obviously off the radar.. but it makes for an interesting site.

Don`t know the oldies MrsO so I can`t compare. However, I love this site. I get help when I ask and I enjoy the banter. There are some clever and witty people on here. And I know I will get sympathy when my builder retires.

It depends what the other person meant by "interesting" - it's quieter now, but a lot less insulting, IMO.

I think we have lost a few characters but also gained a few, we have thankfully lost the vile few that found humour in being as insulting as possible.
