Ive been awake all night with a very painful earache I am finding it hard to swallow keep going hot then cold now if it's an ear infection and need antibiotics i don't think I can wait until Wednesday to see a doctor been taking loads of painkillers don't want to make a fuss by ringing emergency doctor but don't think I can stand another night like last night

Have you got a walk in clinic at any of the local hospitals? you need seeing, aren't wasting anyone's time so give someone a call. Poor you, earache is horrible.

It isn't an ear infection as i explained to you yesterday.
It is almost certainly tonsillitis or less likely a Quinsy.
Yes, you do need antibiotics (probably)
Ring the emergency doctor, explain the problem and he will probably arrange for you to grey some antibiotics from the chemist.

Keep taking the ibuprofen.

No walk in clinics that I know of Nox will have to find out if local hospital has one

where do you live, fruitsalad? If you ring your normal GP, the answerphone message should tell you who to contact for your local out of hours service, aso you can get medication as sqad suggests.
