If the bones found under a Leicester car park do turn out to be those of Richard 3 will they be afforded a state funeral?

Are all the bones present or is it a case of Richard III part I?

I don't think so. I think they will just be reburied somewhere more appropriate.
I would say yes; after all he was far more important than Maggie T!

Is there a suitable car park in Windsor?

Seems they found the bones of a horse with his, so presumably he gave away his rights to the Kingdom.
I suppose it would have to be a park and ride given "my kingdom for a horse".
It could get them out of a bind. Has a state funeral for the Thatch been formally announced - or the family could also decline it - there is precedent in this with Disraeli's and Nightingale's families turning down the opportunity. In other words, Richard III could provide them with the practice run they need ahead of the Queen popping her clogs - The Duke probably getting a Royal Ceremonial akin to the Queen Mum's or Di's. Not least he would be accorded with the 21 gun salute and not the 19 for a commoner.

How convenient - all it requires is for Thatch to live another 3 months as the DNA linkage is being made, one of hsi ancestors being on TV on the Beeb News as they swabbed him for a bit of goz for the test.
(he being R III - just for clarification).

As Richard III's only issue, Edward of Middleham, died unmarried at the age of 11, he does not have any descendants.
Nice to see so many 'history buffs' on here, perhaps for a more interested readership and response, you would have done better to post this in the History Topic Site, but then it seems that even you Sandy are not really interested.

I personally think this is fascinating news for anyone interested in our past heritage.
Chanel 4 news, Bones found in Leicester turns out to be Great Dane.
You mean King Cnut, he'll do!
so which Danish King then - or do you mean Dog.
Brigitte Neilsen?
as I recall, the DNA for testing will come from the descendants of his sister (open to correction on this one)
AOG - what was Richard III really like?
A Porsche, a Porsche, my Kingdom for a Porsche
When I was teaching lower school history it became fashionable to refer to King Canute by the original Danish version of his name. This caused particular problems for one dyslexic boy in my class.
