am uasually ok,though depends on who does jab asto if get bruises.had bosh booster as child
My arm all swelled up the first and last one I ever had years ago.

rsvp I don't believe you. You are not old.
I have had flu jab for more than 10 years due to diabetes. And had this years one today too.

Never had any problems at all.

Only jab Ive felt is one I had a few years ago which they gave me at the same time as flu. I thin it was for pneumonia or something . You only have to have it every ten years so I guess I might be due a re-stab soon.

Made my arm and shoulder feel like a horse had kicked me for about 2 weeks!!

I think the practice(excuse pu) nurse often better at jabs
ladybirder - xxxx
Depends on the skills of the person doing it, petal - round here the healthcare assistants are trained for flu vaccines, never had a problem with it. Last time they took blood, mind, was different, as they have problems finding my veins. This week it was fine again. All depends on who's doing it!
used to have jabs and no real pain from the jabs but the after effects were terrible f for at last next two weeks so now don't bother.
I'd rather have a few days after effects than the flu, ladyJ - I've had flu twice in my life (1973 and 1999) and don't want it again :-
I had flu jab yesterday - no ill effects, not even a sore arm this year :)
Have had them for years because of my work - I always get a nurse to do it - the GPs just don't have enough practice to get the skills ...
I've had one every year for the past 12 years. No problems. I just feel a bit of a prick. ;-)
LOL, Michael!

I started having flu jabs a few years ago, and never felt any ill-effects at all. But I did have a really bad bout of flu one year after having a jab. When I talked to my GP about it, he said that there are so many variants of the basic flu virus about that it's impossible to prevent it 100%. Interesting.

But it's still worth having it done IMO if you are in one of the 'at risk' groups.
you must have gone private michaelzz
@Boxy - you should get your local phlebotomist or nurse or healthcare assistant who takes blood to get a pair of these .......
