Just wondered if any one had any thoughts on what could be wrong with me!!
On Thursday eve, I had a crippling pain in my upper tummy. I thought it was indigestion (although hadn't eaten much, and it had been a few hours since) but I went to bed. It woke me in the night however. I pottered around for a bit, thinking movement would help, it didn't really. In the morning it was still there, but not so bad, just felt a bit sick, so thought it was a bug. On Friday I had 2 normal stools, but just felt a bit sick in tummy. Me being me thought I'd try and flush out this sickness bug and ate 2 pieces of cheese on toast and 3 Jaffa cakes!! I was fine for a few hours and then this overwhelming pain took over my tummy at the top under my rib cage. I called the doc, who said it was a bug (well I had had 2 poos that day!?) I went to bed nd slept 13 hours. The next day I kept off food, but still had these pains, not so bad and still sickness. I had some crackers at lunch time and felt bad again by eve. On sun I tried some fruit and fibre for breakfast and nothing happened, so about 2 I went for a walk with the family thinking I was better and the fresh air would do me good. I ended up bent up with these pains. I went to out of hours docs who sent me to hosp. There I was put on a drip and given pain killers. These made me feel much better. At 1 in the morning a doc said it was gallstones and that I could go home with some more painkillers and come back in the morning for a scan. I went and there were no gallstones. They said as I am slim, they had a really clear view. They sent me home with some antacids. I ate some lunch and by eve I was in pain again. But without their super pain killers, it's not going (just eased as I'm taking the painkillers given to me) so still in pain, not wanting to eat (which isn't like me!!) and not really any further forward!!
Sorry for the rant, just wanted to get it all in so if anyone had any ideas they had the full story.
Your ideas would be gratefully received.

Sorry not enough information.

When was your last period? Are you in mid cycle? Are your periods normal.

Have you nay problem passing water? Is it dark coloured? Does it hurt to pass water?

Are you bowels back to normal?....Have you been passing pale stools?

Were you on any medication previous to this episode?

My period started the same day (well Friday) and finished Saturday. I've been to the docs over the last few months due to short periods and found my iron store was low. After 4 months (in total) of iron tablets my iron is now back to normal, but it has all coincided (even as much as my last blood test was done on Friday. And the hospital used its results to check for infection etc. no pain or any thing to report with urine although tests came back with high keratines(?) and blood but think they put that down to period..? Stools are less frequent, but not eating, and harder than normal, but not drinking as much. Not noticed them pale..
No medications apart from the iron, but I finished that a few weeks ago.
Thank you sqad for replying.
Thanks for the full and helpful reply......nothing ominous comes to mind, but it certainly is not a happy state of affairs with a 4 day history of abdominal pain and no diagnosis.

Monitor the situation for the next 24 hours and if there is no improvement, then return to A&E.

Keep us informed.
