hi just wondered how you are getting on? have you managed to get some rest? would it help to sleep upright in the chair (with yuour feet up of course)?

hope you are on the mend. wish i could come and do one or two odd jobs for you even just making a cup of tea and a sandwich. proper cooked meal is more my style but whatever would please you.

I just meant that if you need any help, to get around or do housework or whatever, then I believe I am within 'useful' distance.

Madmen and DT, it is nice to know that there is someone I can call on if necessary, but please do not worry as I am coping quite well. I have plenty of ready meals which I can heat in my microwave oven and I have ordered a large order from Tesco online. I am fortunate in that I am familiar with using all these gadgets. There are some old people who would not be in such a favourable position. Thanks so much for your concern. I live in Nailsea, which is a small town near Bristol, in case you wondered.
