A pint of cider is one of my five a day. I manage to meet the recommended portions. Sometimes I go over and beyond and top my daily recommendation up with fermented grapes!

But no one is insisting on accuracy are they, a sensible portion is enough for most to understand - a few more or less is no big deal.

So you did, Sqad. Maybe by reading more into your answer than was there I was looking for an excuse to give up the healthy eating and return to the toothsome pleasures of the greasy spoon caff.

They can't be accurate as everyone is different.

It's the same with liquid intake. Some people only need two pints whereas someone else might need six.
Same as this survey on the news this morning that many kids don't eat their 5 a day. It was only a few weeks ago that the 5-a-day theory was rebutted, not everyone needs it.
