My sister and I went to the pub yesterday, as is our wont, and had the usual pint of lager and half bottle of wine each. Unfortunately we can't even remember getting home and I felt quite unwell for the rest of the afternoon.
We have drunk the same several times and it has never had this effect before. We had had something to eat so weren't drinking on an empty stomach. Could it have been something that was wrong with the drinks? We both think it is really really strange.
Please no funny comments, it has really got us worried.
If you stuck with your usual drinks, it's unlikely to be them - might be worth contacting the pub and asking if anyone else reported being off colour. Perhaps there's a bug going round?
Did you leave your drinks unattended at any time? Maybe they were spiked. That has happened to my colleagues at various times (in other parts of the world). Sometimes it`s the bar staff (although I`m not saying it is in your case)
Yes we had the same as always. Felt OK this morning. Maybe it was just one of those things. Drinks weren't unattended at all, very respectable pub we go to, but who knows what can happen.
Did you both drink draught lager? Could be microorganisms in the beer python if they are not cleaned regularly/properly and that could make you quite ill.
If it was draught lager there may have been pipe cleaning fluid still in the pipes which transferred to the lager, you would probably have been able to taste it though so it's unlikely really.
Illegal wine may have found it's way into the pub. Wines can be adulterated, usually with the addition of cheaper products such as juices and sometimes with the addition of harmful chemicals and sweeteners to compensate in colour or flavour. Who knows what effects these unknown ingredients could have on your health or behaviour? Its worth contacting the pub just in case, as they could be totally unaware of any dodgy dealings.
