Seasonal Affective Disorder Lamps

My son, aged 51, wishes to buy a seasonal affective disorder lamp.
If you use a lamp would you please advise whether you find it effective and what is the make and model number of the lamp.

I don't have a lamp but since having a discussion with my gp in the dim(!) and distant past I have done a lot of reading about them and it seems many of the cheaper ones are no more effective than an ordinary light bulb. The best ones are very expensive and although they seem to help many people they're not suitable for everyone. Unless he already has (or if he has any other health problems) it's perhaps best for your son to have a word with his doctor.

Check out Amazon there are lots of S.A.D lights and varying prices too, also lots of reviews to read which may help you decide ,but like the previous reply I don't know if they work personally
