Went to the doctors to see if my anxiety morbid thoughts and numerous other sympthoms were to do with the menopause or very least the peri menopause and apparently according to the blood test I am not yet menopausal even though I am 56 so I ask what else could be causing the anxiety symptoms etc.,
and she has given me citalopram 28 tablets 1 a day will this be long enough to see any improvement?

Hopefully you'll see an improvement in 2/3 weeks, but they do need to be taken regularly. Hope you feel better soon.

Either is treatable. Anxiety isn't necessarily logical, so don't worry if you can't think of a "cause". See how you go on the tablets. They are usually very effective.
