My teeth are crumbling.....i was told yesterday i have cracked on of the big ones at the back and its got to come out bcoz its fractured below the gum. Just now one of my back big one's has just snapped the other side....not below the gum and it is root filled....so i am hoping they will just file it down for now...but my goodness i just turned 50 in January and i feel like i am falling apart.

Sorry to hear the PurpleParis. I hope you have a good dentist who will do a good job. I am sure you have a lot of good things about you.
My teeth are crumbling a bit too. I don't think my litre a day of Pepsi Max help much.

I hit 50 year old last year and my eyesight is not doing too brilliantly either.
This is a recurring nightmare I have.

I wake up sweating that all my teeth have literally crumbled in my mouth- tis 'orrible!

Boo - many people have this dream. It's popularly supposed to indicate that you feel all your attractions are disappearing....
Yeah I know, read that before, lol

Typical!

Teeth falling out and losing me allure, t'riffic! LOL
There's still cake though B00.x

Good luck with the teeth Purple x
Yes sorry, apologies PP, was so caught up with my own teeth phobia I forgot to commiserate with you and wish you luck at the butchers, i mean dentist :-)
My sympathy. I find it's not just teeth that cease to be at their peak when one hits ones fifties. Still count one's blessings eh ? Things could be worse.
Purple, I couldn't agree more they are a nuisance - yesterday I thought I have nicked my gum, was slightly sore.

Within 24 hours I look like a Chipmunk an have been diagnosed with Dental abscess ans cellulitis of surrounding tissue.
The might be able to crown the one which is root-filled, purple - I've not looked back since my good dentist persuaded me to have some of my crumbly teeth crowned. Saves a fortune on regular repairs, too.
I've just been to see our new dentist, who has taken one look in my mouth, and is referring me to the local hospital so they can remove the rest of my teeth, and all the roots that have been left behind from previous treatments, probably under general anaesthetic.I only have four of my own teeth left, one of which is a wisdom tooth. I'm now approaching mid-50's, but my body started disintergrating when I reached 45! It's just the slippery slope downhill from now on. Hope that you manage to get your tooth sorted PurpleParis!
