600Mg Ibroufen

How long can you take this amount for? It seems to help with my ongoing low back pain which is caused by wear and tear so its never going to go away, but will I be able to take this amount for the forseeable future?

Once a day, twice......4 times?

Twice a day Sqad morning and evening, sometimes feel I need them inbetween but so far I have avoided doing this

OK...as long as you need pain relief.......6 months, one year, ten years.

1,200mgms daily is a modest dose...........3,000 mgms daily is possibly a maximum dose.

You can search the internet and find articles suggesting increase in heart disease and strokes and others not confirming this.

Gastro-intestinal bleeding has been reported....but so have other painkillers been implicated.

Pain relief is paramount.....everything else of secondary consideration in my opinion.

Can I intervene and ask you sqad, why does it tell you to take 400mg on the actual packet? Are the manufacturers just being cautious?

I suppose so..........

The dose of a drug is a clinical decision.......made by the doctor in charge of the case....not a nurse....not a pharmacist....not a manufacturer........but the clinician in charge.
