Claustrophobia
2 Answers
As I'm getting older my claustrophobia is getting worse & worse, I can't wear rings for fear of not getting them off, When I broke my leg and was put in plaster it was awful for six weeks, panic attack after panic attack.
Even wearing a shirt I can't get back over my head sets me off! Hard to explain to non- sufferers.
I had a major wobble having to sit in the back of a 2 door car recently, I can't use lifts, I try not to break the law as the idea of being put in handcuffs restricting my movement terrifies me, let alone being locked in a police / prison van. I would go insane!!
The reason I post this is; does anyone know of any remedy other than perhaps hypnosis that might help? I'm very sceptical of counselling!
Any ideas from fellow sufferers would be great!
A thousand thanks!

A friends daughter in law suffered from agoraphobia after having her children and she spoke to her doctor about counselling and although it was a constant struggle in the beginning to get her there it paid off in the end as she now goes all over with her children on her own so I would consider going down that route.
