Cholesterol And Fats

Just had my blood results back and my cholesterol is ok 5.3 but my fats are high and I have a small cyst on my liver, I thought cholesterol and fats were the same thing

You haven't given us the exact figures and you haven,t said if these were fasting levels, but I would guess that they are fasting.
Your cholesterol levels are fine that is good and bad cholesterol, so we might assume that a heart attack is not around the corner.........so we think.
Now fats, other than cholesterol are valuable, we need them to transport some vitamins and also as a store for energy when it is needed.
But does a high level indicate a predisposition for heart attacks or strokes?
No idea, it is a complex question and a minefield for the experts.
