Apart from the spot/ mole on the surface of ones skin , are there any other symptoms to watch out for? Might the person become unwell ? Does the site become painful or itchy?

No, there is always an abnormality of the skin to be seen. No blemish, no skin cancer.

Very, very unlikely.

Only if there is a blemish or spot or abnormality....then it might.
