Heavy bleeding usually occurs in the first 6 months of the insertion of a Mirena Coil......not after 4 years as in your case.

You didn't say when you had the laparoscopy but it would seem that you had an ovarian cyst which was benign.

I would suggest that you go back to see your GP to assess the position of the Coil which could be responsible for your bleeding.

Thank you again for your answer Sqad, cyst was donkeys years ago, they left it alone, no probs since just had a smear a couple of months ago, again all clear. So you think I should make an appoint asap?
im sorry alinic..................but I wish people would stop saying '' I don't want to bother the doctor'' that's their job ,
Best to have an opinion from your GP alinic, heavy periods make you tired and run down, put your mind at rest get and appointment.
