I took cramp in my leg yesterday which lasted ages and today my foot has had pins and needles on my heal area that has been since this morning and its still there any ideas

Not enough information unfortunately.

By "cramp" do you mean sudden onset of pain in the leg muscle, usually at rest as in bed at night? OR....do you mean pain in the calf of the leg on walking?

Do you suffer from any underlying disorder e.g Diabetes and are you taking any medication?

Just accepting your post as it stands, without your replies to my question, I would have thought that the pins and needles are no big deal and are often associated with cramps.

ok so I was just sitting around when I got sudden pain in my leg muscle the one above the knee and at the back which went on for about an hour today when I woke I still had some pain in leg and had numbness and pins and needles in my foot and it has not let up yet (10 hrs) and makes it difficult to walk not diabetic althouth I do suffer from lower back pain now and again
have you suffered with sciatica in the past?

doc said it was muscular but after watching you video am not too sure now
Well, that doesn't sound like cramp to me and I have some empathy with the diagnosis of AlwaysConfused that of sciatica although i am not completely convinced. The Dr would have given you some pain killers and i would suggest that you monitor the situation for the next 3 days.
