1 Answers
My wife (aged 72) has suffered for 20 years from Type 1 diabetes high blood pressure and high cholesterol She is well controlled and there have been no claims She has recently been diagnosed with aortic stenosis My insurance underwriter has immediately stated that any claim resulting from Type 1 diabetes high blood pressure and high cholesterol is excluded To my mind these problems are not related to aortic stenosis Can anyone throw light on the subject?

The underwriter is correct.
You could argue that without diabetes she may well have developed high cholesterol, hypertension and aortic stenosis.....but you would lose.
