Sqadlet... I Have This Lump...
7 Answers
In all seriousness, anyone. I had a TAH & BSO about 18 months ago for an ovarian tumour. Regular CA125s since then have been normal.
I have now developed a lump / bulge on the right side of my incisional scar which is very prominent and quite large when I cough or strain. I have self- diagnosed a hernia.
However, due to my phmx I am a bit worried it could be another pelvic wall growth or lump on the bowel.
Any advice?

In my opinion, your diagnosis is "spot on"........an incisional hernia.
Pelvic wall growth or lump in the bowel? That would be as likely as rocking horse manure.
Monitor the swelling until it causes problems...... e.g pain or the swelling doesn't retract.
P.S Daughter of Godzila is now a grandmother....with all that that entails.

Lol - you always made me laugh. Even when it hurt... !!!
I always thought an incisional hernia had to protrude out of part of the actual incision wound - mine is just off to the right, about midway down. I did injure myself there about a month ago which left a bruise, and I have been coughing almost constantly for about 5 weeks now (cold virus) - hence my self-diagnosis.
And I must admit I did lift, carry and do too much following my initial op. I am not a woman who obeys, even when she knows she should. ;-)
My doc has ordered an uss & bloods including CA125. O/e she did say, whatever it is, it is large.
