Fao Sqad Hayfever

Once again I seek your advise ! My OH has terrible Hayfever and takes antihistamines everyday. I would like him to stop as they do raise his blood pressure. Normally his bp is ok, around 140 / 90, but yesterday we took it and it was 161/101. My question is, do you know of any other relief for Hayfever ?

I didn't know that anti-histamines had any effect on BP.

Loratadine 10 mgms daily or twice daily would be a good start, but if only the nose is affected...then Flixonase would be idea.

I know that this is not a part of your question, but depending upon his age, family history and medication, I would n't be happy with those readings, particularly the lower one (diastolic).

I think I will try and persuade him to see his dr. He's certainly not overweight , has congenital high cholesterol , which he has under control with his dr.

LOL...I think that you BOTH need a check up.........no big deal........but a check up. It may be that a small dose of BP lowering drug may just do the trick.

late March is a bit early for hay fever....

PP.....Hay Fever is used as a wide term.

Tree pollen common in late march has the same symptoms.
