Appetite Loss

I have a double fracture of the ankle and was discharged yesterday. I was in hospital for a week before the operation because they kept cancelling it in favour of emergencies involving children for example.
As a consequence I was on nil by mouth for more than 4 days. Now I am at home I have lost any desire to eat at all. I don't know if this is because my stomach had started to shrink or a by product of the operation. On the plus side I have lost 10Kg in weight and my BMI is now 22.6. I know I need less food intake as I am going to have a cast on for 10 weeks. The only thing I have eaten in the last 24 hours is a chicken sandwich and that was a struggle. Any advice/opinions gratefully recievied .

My advice? do whatever you feel like doing (or not) and spoil yourself rotten with whatever takes your fancy - invite friends around i, watch tv, get outside in the garden - really, do whatever youn want to do and don't feel guilty about ! If you like choccies etc, buy a big box. Hope you feel better soon.
