Ringing In Ears After Heavy Cold

I had a particularly heavy cold just before Christmas which affected my sinuses (and everything else). I always get clogged up ears when I get any colds which take a while to sort themselves out. However, this time I got a ringing in one of my ears too, which I assumed was something to do with the cold and still being clogged up. I'd say my cold has pretty much gone now and my ears just about got back to normal - but I still have a ringing in that one ear. It's only really noticeable when I go to bed at night or it's particularly quiet somewhere. It's definitely not as loud or noticeable as it was originally - but it's still there.

Do you think this is something I need to see a doctor about sooner rather than later, or might it still just be after effects of my cold?

It may well be the residual effects of your cold and I would suggest that the nose is blocked on the same side as the ringing ear, then use Vick's Nasal spray just on that same side, to clear the Eustachian tube,

Give it another 3-4 weeks to clear.
