If someone has been prescribed this but refuses to continue to take after just a few day would it make any real difference?
I think that she now thinks I'm trying to poison her. She's also refusing to take the Domperidon which came with it.

Actually... it does seem to make some difference and you can tell if someone hasn't taken it for a few days. It is noticeable when people have run out.

Does it make a difference if you tell her the doctors have prescribed it? It isn't from you. Sometimes it does. It won't reverse it, it does seem to slow it down though. Good luck xx

I think you need more help than you appear to be getting, Sandy.
Can you ask your GP for a home visit to explain what is going on?
Or call your local Care of the Elderly Mental Health Team if there is one and ask for a community nurse visit. They may need a referral from your GP, but that should not be a problem.

Like most of these "psychotropic " ( for want of a better word) they do take weeks to make a discernible difference to the patient.
If you friend has only been taking them for a few days, then i would have thought missing them for a shirt period of time, wouldn't make a jot of visible difference.
However the advice of pixie and ladyalex seems more.....based on practical experience.
