I don't blame you for being annoyed, sounds like a failure of communication compounded by a bed shortage.

Awful when you have psyched yourself up ready for something, hope it eventually goes smoothly.
Mickey Mouse, isn't it.
Oh Mally what a pain for you. That is so annoying!
I feel for you mallyh. There's results of an MRI of my head floating around somewhere which nobody can pin down :(
Good luck, I hope it goes smoothly next week ;)

Which hospital is it mally ? I know of a lady who was scheduled for three knee ops before she finally had it done. She used to get so frustrated !

Portsmouth QA
Other end of the country to me. Seems they are all the same !

they closed a lot of hospitals when they built this place no one listened to the people who wanted smaller hospitals left open .
mallyh...PORTSMOUTH? My mate was a Consultant at that hospital and he went on holiday to Turkey and was murdered by militant tribesmen, so when i saw the name Portsmouth, it brought back memories.
Mallyh - please psyche yourself for maybe more delayed ops. Friend's uncle was knocked back for operation 3 times. She too was knocked back 2 times - awful when you have been nervous all night and the following morning due to utter chaos operation doesn't go through. Just warning you.
QA has a lot of memories for me too - i did my nurse training there (and partly in st mary's and st james's) Plus have been a patient there many times
Thats really bad luck mally, i hope that you dont have to wait too long. I had a perforated appendix a few years ago and was rushed to QA, and spent the next four hours listening to several doctors debating whether or not to operate on me then, or wait until the morning. Fortunately they operated quickly, and probably saved my life. I also attend three clinics there on a regular basis and find that I'm usually more quickly than before.
