Saw my doctor last month and mentioned that I was going crazy with itching on my lower legs, and some swelling around the ankles.I am 80 years old and he said it was due to my Amlodipine blood tablet, although I have been taking it for years without bother he says it is due to my age and suggested i stuck with the Amlodipine and put cream on the itching.Well it has now got worse, and my thighs and back are itching.I am thinking of going back and requesting a change in medication.Wonder if any other Aber has had this problem.

No, sorry I have never had such problems, although I have never taken Amlodipine.

I agree with the diagnosis of your GP and I would certainly go back and suggest that he/she changes your BP tablets.

Thanks Squad I will do just that.
I was on 10mg Amlodipine along with Atenolol 50mg and Perindopril 8mg and I was taken off the Amlodipine due to swollen calves and ankles. Seem to do okay with just the two BP medications.
