If you're about, a dear friend after a chest infection had x-Ray showing a shadow on one lung and two nodules on the other. He is going for scan on Tuesday. Just wondering how serious it is. He finishes a course of steroids tomorrow and antibiotics on Sunday.

Psybbo....if you had asled me that question some 50 years ago, I would have said Pulmonary TB, but today i have to be honest and say that the favourite would be malignant disease of the lung (cancer)
However there are some other less common conditions...e.g Sarcoidosis.

Psybb.........been thinking......my answer was based on your post.....chest infection/shadow on one lung/ 2 nodules on opposite lung.

Most "nodules" found by chance on chest X-Ray are benign (not malignant), but with the history that you gave, my initial answer remains.
