Hi. Since yesterday I've been feeling dizzy and it's not getting any better with time. I can be walking and if I'm not careful, I feel like I'm going to walk sideways. Its almost all the while, although if I lay down it can go off. Sitting makes no difference. I thought maybe an ear thing, but I read that if it was, then it wouldn't stop when i lay down. If it's still going by Monday I'll try to see the doctor but I thought maybe someone reading this may have an idea on what it may be. Thanks
Not enough information.
How old are you?
Are you taking any medication for any underlying condition?
Is the dizziness there all the time OR does it come in spasms lasting for a minute or so?
Is there a feeling of fullness or ringing in the ears?
Any deafness?
Are you suffering from a cold?
Thanks ...well it is NOT BPPV.....which is, as the name implies "paroxysmal" i.e comes in spasms. Still difficult to say as it could be many things.
My money goes on being a Transient Ischaemic Attack (TIA) partial blockage of an artery to the brain.
No big deal at the moment, but make an appt to see your GP within the next 48 hours.
Thank you all! I didn't think my symptoms were right for BPPV. I doubt if I can get a doctor in the next 48 hours but at a push I'll try for Monday, thank you again.
Sorry Sqad. Just my analytical mind working (as usual) I remember being in Sri Lanka, years ago. I was in a craft shop and I felt a really strong urge to to fall to the left. I had to sit down. A while later, I was in my parents` house in Devon and I bent down over the bathroom sink while washing my hair. I had such a violent urge to be thrown on the floor that I had to grab the basin with two hands. That is why I thought that the OP was suffering with vertigo.
Well, I was in Sao Paulo a while ago. I had vertigo in my hotel room. There was a picture over the TV that was spinning around. The sensation only happened when I was in bed and I turned over from my left to my right. I found the solution though - copious amounts of Caipirinha
