I need to know if I will most likely be approved for disability benefits, either temporary or permanent, and the route I should go. I am 21, I have had surgery for my scoliosis, but my pain is worse than before my surgery. I have 2 rods and 17 screws in my back, and i am in very very extensive pain every day. I work at party city, but even that is too much for me, and i often call out because of the pain. stretching hurts, lifting more than 15 pounds hurts, i get shortness of breath, and i feel i am getting worse. i have been to 3 doctors and all say there is nothing they can do. i am young, and often think i can do more than i am able, but quickly reminded i need to take it slow. outside apperance is i am athletic, so i feel i am not taken seriously, but cannot stand the pain anymore, what should i do?

Good morning, I am assuming that you are in the USA as Party City is an American company.
Due to the difference in benefits I doubt in anyone can give you a definitive answer.
I will say however what have you got to lose by applying - they can only say no!
