Hi,

I had a twisted bowel a couple of years ago and it was fixed with surgery. The surgeon said although always a possibility it wouldn’t happen again.

Now and again I am having the same sort of pain in the same area. It started intermittently but is getting more frequent now.

Is it likely to have twisted again do you think?

Thanks

If he said it could happen again, I suppose it could. I would definitely go and get it checked out, it sounds like agony.
Yes it may well twist again, depending upon the cause initially, but your symptoms may well be due to adhesions following your past surgery .
If these are "colicky" pains that are describing, then there may well be some problem with adhesions
However if your bowel movements are normal and you are passing wind , then don't worry.

Monitor the situation for the next few weeks.

Thank you.

The symptoms come and go, just like last time. But when they are here they are lasting longer each time.

I am still eating, drinking and toileting but tbh it was only on the day I was rushed to hospital last time that I couldn’t do any of that lol

I will keep an eye on it and see how it goes.

I am going for my carpal tunnel doing tomorrow and OH jokes asking which I would have done first. Off to hospital for the stomach or tomorrow for wrist. I said wrist first then stomach. As at the moment the wrist hurts 100 time more lol
