Cramp

Last night I had the worst onset of cramp I have ever had. Took half an hour of massaging my calf to reduce it to bearable.
Question is what is the best thing to do? Heated pad? Ketoprofen rub?

Meant to say, that I found the "Ice" spray in a can, as opposed to heat spray, seemed to help with the pain.

Holland and Barrett sell Magnesium oil spray which I have found astonishingly effective for cramp.
